Die prachtvoll gestaltete Bilderhandschrift entstand wohl im 9.Jh. an der Hofschule Karls des Großen in Aachen. Das Original befindet sich in Teilen in der Rumänischen Nationalbibliothek sowie in der Biblioteca Apostolia Vaticana. Limitierte Auflage Nr. 86/333. Großformatig, Elfenbeintafeln des Originalbuchdeckels hier als Bakelitreplikate gestaltet, Faksimile mit 925er Silberrahmen. Mit Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren, Notizen im Kommentarband. Gewicht ca 14kg. Dazu Infomappe im Folioformat.

"The Lorsch Gospels" facsimile edition of the magnificent medieval manuscript - consisting of facsimile and scholarly commentary. The magnificently designed illuminated manuscript was probably created in the 9th century at Charlemagne's court school in Aachen. Parts of the original are in the Romanian National Library and in the Biblioteca Apostolia Vaticana. Limited edition no. 86/333. Large format, ivory plates of the original book cover here designed as bakelite replicas, facsimile with 925 silver frame. With signs of age and usage, notes in the commentary volume. Weight approx. 14kg. Comes with info folder in folio format.
