Der hochrangige, chinesische Beamte sitzt in einem mit Tigerfell ausgelegtem Beamtenstuhl. Er trägt seine Amtstracht, ein Kostüm der höchsten Würdenträger der Qing-Dynastie, eine kostbare Drachenrobe aus dunkelblauer Seide, Satin und Brokat mit steifem Lingtou-Kragen. Auf Brusthöhe ist sein Rangabzeichen auf einem quadratischen Mandarintuch kunstvoll eingestickt. Auf dem Kopf trägt er einen Mandarin-Winterhut aus Seide und Nerz. Die Spitze des Hutes wird von einem kostbaren Rubin bekrönt. Zu Robe und Hut passend trägt er lange, herabhängende Ketten. Zu seinen Füßen sind drei Mandschurenkraniche dargestellt, diese symbolisieren langes Leben, hohes Alter, Weisheit und die Beziehung zwischen Vater und Sohn. Außerdem steht der Mandschurenkranich in der Qing-Dynastie für den 1. zivilen Beamtenrang. Feine Malerei auf Seide, hinter Glas gerahmt. HxB: ca. 135,5X80 cm (146,5x89,5 cm mit Rahmen) Stockfleckig, eingerissen (von li.oben nach li unten Rand zieht sich ein ca. 64 cm langer Riß durch das Seidengewebe), wohl hinterlegt evtl. aufkaschiert.
