aus dem Buckingham Palace der Lady in Waiting to H.R.H. The Princess of Wales, datiert 29. Format ca. 23,5 x 18,7 cm, zweimal gefaltet, leichte Knickspuren. Der Text lautet wie folgt: "Dear Mrs Hofmann, The Princess of Wales has asked me to thank you very much for the lovely jumper. Her Royal Highness was most grateful to you for your kind thought and asks me to send you her sincere thanks and best wishes. I know you will understand when I say that in this, as in all cases when The Princess accepts a gift, it is not practice for the fact of acceptance to be used for any form of advertising or publicity. Her Royal Highness would like me to say how much she enjoyed her visit to Vienna and how touched she was by the warmth of her welcome. Yours sincerly Miss A. Beckwith-Smith".

| Letter from LADY DIANA's Secretariat (1961-1997) - 15-line one-page typescript from Buckingham Palace of the Lady in Waiting to H.R.H. The Princess of Wales, dated 29th April 1986, on Buckingham Palace stationery with the Prince of Wales's coat of arms "ICH DIEN" raised in red and the lettering of BUCKINGHAM PALACE. In the letter, Lady Diana thanks her for a high-quality knitted jumper that was individually made for her. After her state visit to Vienna, it was made as a one-off by a well-known local knitting factory and presented as a gift by the owner, Ms. A. Hofmann. The letter is signed by Miss A. Beckwith-Smith, probably one of the longest-serving ladies-in-waiting of the Princess of Wales. Format approx. 23.5 x 18.7 cm, folded twice, slight creases. The text reads as follows: "Dear Mrs Hofmann, The Princess of Wales has asked me to thank you very much for the lovely jumper.
