Lindenholz, vollplastisch geschnitzt und vergoldet, jeweils fein geschnitzte Darstellung eines Puttos in bewegter Haltung, einen Leuchter in Form eines Füllhornes haltend, leicht geneigte Häupter mit weich modelliertem lockigen Haar und lächelnden Gesichtszügen, jeweils als Gegenstücke gearbeitet, H: ca.56 cm. Part. beschädigt und restauriert. Beide aus dem 18.Jh. stammende Putten zeigen Analogien zu entsprechenden Arbeiten aus der Werkstatt von E. Quirim Asam (1692-1750) ohne daß eine sichere Zuweisung möglich wäre.

TWO LARGE ALTAR CHANDELIERS WITH CHERUBS Southern Germany, ca. 1740, limewood, carved in full plastic form and gilded, each with a finely carved depiction of a cherub in a moving posture, holding a candlestick in the shape of a cornucopia horn, slightly inclined head with softly modelled curly hair and smiling facial features, each worked as counterpart, H: ca. 56 cm. Partially damaged and restored. Both cherubs dating from the 18th century show analogies to the work of E. Quirim Asam (1692-1750) although attribution is uncertain.
