Schmidt-Karlsruhe, early 19th century, bronze, gilded, baluster-shaped corpus on a stepped pedestal, enamel dial framed by a profile, inscribed "Schmidt Karlsruhe", pendulum movement, h: approx. 35 cm. Signs of age, not checked for function.
Johann Jakob Schmidt, from 1794 court clockmaker in Karlsruhe, clocks by him are in the Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe and in the Mathematical-Physical Salon in Dresden.
