Die Möbel sind Teil der Serie Artona für Maxalto, einer Spezialabteilung von B&B Italia, die 1975 gegründet wurde, um sich ausschließlich auf die Produktion von hochwertigen Holzmöbeln zu konzentrieren. Es war eine Rebellion gegen die vorherrschende Verwendung von Kunststoffen im Design während der vorangegangenen Periode.
