Das Ei läßt sich öffnen: im unteren auf 3 Kugelfüßen stehenden Teil ist ein Glaseinsatz (an der Öffnung beschädigt) mit silbernem Deckel, der obere Teil des Eies hat eine ringförmige Handhabe und kann als Glocke genutzt werden, Beschauzeichen für St. Petersburg mit Feingehalt 84 sowie ein 'E' (wohl französische Importpunze), H. ca. 11 cm, Gewicht ca. 117 g. Leicht gedellt, Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren.

The egg can be opened: in the lower part standing on 3 ball feet is a glass insert (damaged at the opening) with a silver lid, the upper part of the egg has a ring-shaped handle and can be used as a bell, hallmark for St. Petersburg with fineness 84 as well as an 'E' (probably French import hallmark), h. approx. 11 cm, weight approx. 117 g. Slightly dented, signs of age and use.
