Entwurf wohl Julius Wilhelm Mantel, Ausformung um 1860/70, sog."Urbino Vase", KPM Berlin, Porzellan mit polychrome Malerei in der Art der Urbinomajoliken, ovoider Korpus auf Rundfuß mit gerundeter Schulter, eingezogenem Hals und ausladendem Rand, Mittelteil in geschweifter Einrahmung bemalt, frontseitig mit mythologischer Szenerie des Zeus und Hera bzw. Rückseitig mit kleinem Bouquet blühender und knospendender Blumen, Bouquetbild im unteren Teil sig."Markus Wundrin ?", eingepresster Zeptermarke, H: 60 cm. Guter erhalt mit Alters- bzw. Gebrauchsspuren, leichten Bestoßungen, Wandung teilw. krakeliert.
Mit der allgemeinen Renaissancebegeisterung entstanden in der KPM Berlin um 1860 Vasen, Kannen und Teller nach dem Vorbild der Urbinomajoliken des 16. Jhs., deren erste Ausführungen auf der Internationalen Weltausstellung in London 1862 präsentiert wurden.

designed by Julius Wilhelm Mantel around 1860/70, so-called "Urbino Vase", KPM Berlin, porcelain with polychrome painting in the style of the Urbino majolica vases, oval body on a round foot with rounded shoulder, indented neck and projecting rim, the central part painted in a curved frame, the front with mythological scene of Zeus and Hera and the back with a small bouquet of blossoming and budding flowers. Back with small bouquet of blossoming and budding flowers, bouquet picture in the lower part signed "Markus Wundrin ?", pressed sceptre mark, h: 60 cm. In good condition with signs of age and wear, slight bumps, the walls partly crazed.
With the general enthusiasm for the Renaissance, KPM Berlin produced vases, jugs and plates around 1860, modelled on the Urbino majolica of the 16th century, the first versions of which were presented at the International World's Fair in London in 1862.
