Die hochdekorativen Glasperlen auch Trade oder Slave beds genannt, avancierten zum Statussymbol in vielen afrikanischen Ländern und wurden über 500 Jahre lang auf der Insel Murano in Venedig extra für diesen Verwendungszweck produziert.
