Drei Speiseteller aus dem brühmten Damaskus-Service, dass von der KPM Berlin ab 1903-1915 für Kaiser Wilhelm II. hergestellt wurde. Das Dekor ist nach chinesischem Vorbild der 'Famille rose' staffiert. Auf der Fahne befinden sich umlaufende Bordüren aus großen Lotusblütenblättern und darin ausgesparte Reserven mit Chrysanthemenblüten. Im Spiegel die rankenumzogene Malerei eines Pflanzenzweiges in Purpur- und Goldtönen. Rückseitig gemarkt mit blauer Zeptermarke, roter Reichsapfelmarke und der blauen Besitzermarke Kaiser Wilhelm II., je dat. mit 1903, zwei Teller beschädigt mit durchgängigen Haarrissen und geklebt, 1 Teller intakt, D je 24 cm. Als Vorbild diente wohl eine chinesische Schale, die Wilhelm II. in Damaskus im Jahre 1898 geschenkt bekam.

In the center a painting of a plant branch surrounded by tendrils in shades of purple and gold. Marked on the reverse with blue scepter mark, red imperial orb mark and the blue owner's mark of Kaiser Wilhelm II, each dated 1903, two plates damaged with hairline cracks throughout and glued, 1 plate intact, diameter 24 cm each. A Chinese bowl that Wilhelm II received in Damascus in 1898 probably served as a model.
