1.) PENDEH-SALOR-Tschuwal aus Schafwolle (Vorderseite einer Kamelpacktasche), Turkmensteppe Südrussland, Ende 19. Jh., 78x142 cm, ca. 600.000 Knoten pro qm, das dunkelrote Innenfeld ist mit 9 Saloren-Göls gemustert. Der dunkelrote Bordürenrahmen und die Abschlußborte sind ebenfalls geometrisch gemustert. Erworben 1992 bei DAYSS Stuttgart zum Kaufpreis von 4300.-€. 2.) PENDEH-TSCHOWAL, alt, aus Schafswolle (Vorderseite einer Haustasche bzw. eines Nomaden- Sitzmöbels), Anfang 20. Jh., ca. 159x74 cm. Sechs Oktogone (Saloren-Göls) und dazwischen eingestellte Nebengöls zieren das rote Innenfeld. Auch der vielstreifige Bordürenrahmen und der einseitige Abschlußstreifen (Elem) sind geometrisch gemustert. Erworben 1987 zum KP von 4780.-€.
Dem Alter entsprechend gut erhalten. Von beiden Taschen wurden die vermutlich durch Gebrauch zerschlissenen, gewebten Rückseiten entfernt.

| 2 TURKMEN knotted bag fronts: 1st) PENDEH-SALOR sheep wool chuval (front of a camel bag), Turkmen steppe southern Russia, late 19th century, 78x142 cm, approx. 600,000 knots per sqm, the dark red inner field is patterned with 9 Salor Goels. The dark red border frame and the final border are also geometrically patterned. Acquired 1992 at DAYSS Stuttgart for the purchase price of 4300.-€. 2) PENDEH CHOVAL, old, made of sheep's wool (front of a house bag or nomadic seating furniture), early 20th century, ca. 159x74 cm. Six octagons (Salor Goels) and interspersed secondary Goels decorate the red field.Also the multi-striped border frame and the one-sided closing strip (elem) are geometrically patterned. Acquired in 1987 at the purchase price of 4780.-€.
Both knottings are well preserved according to the age. The woven backs of both bags, presumably torn by use, have been removed.
