als Brustbild dargestellt, in schwarzem Gewand mit schlichtem weißen Kragen und zwei Quasten sowie offen über die Schulter fallendes Haar. Sein Blick ist dem Betrachter zugewandt. Mit der linken Hand, deren kleiner Finger mit einem Ring geschmückt ist, greift er stolz nach einer der Quasten, die auf seine Stellung in der holländischen Gesellschaft hinweisen. Öl auf Leinwand doubliert, HxB: ca. 65 x 57,5 cm (HxB Rahmen: ca. 86 x 78 cm). Alters- und Beriebspuren, Craquelé, kleine Farbfehlstellen, Kratzer. Mit Rahmen im Stil der holländischen Altmeister (Altersspuren).

His gaze is turned towards the viewer. With his left hand, the little finger of which is adorned with a ring, he proudly grasps one of the tassels, indicating his position in Dutch society. Oil on canvas, relined, HxW: approx. 65 x 57.5 cm (HxW frame: approx. 86 x 78 cm). Signs of age and wear, craquelure, minor colour losses, scratches. With frame in the style of the Dutch Old Masters (traces of age).
