An der oberen Blattkannte mit weißem Papierstreifen im Passepartout montiert, hinter Glas gerahmt. Im Passepartout von fremder Hand mit Bleistift bezeichnet „Aqu. Frauen“. Auf der Rahmenrückseite Reste eines alten Rahmenkartons mit Zeitungsausschnitt des Benrather Tageblatt, 21. III. 1959 "Neuerwerbungen des Kunstmuseums". | NAY, ERNST WILHELM (1902-1968), "Im Herbstwind", 1942, signed and dated 'EWNAY 42' in ink lower left, watercolour and gouache/chamois paper, HxW: sheet approx. 19.6x 29.8 cm, mat opening approx. 19.2x29.2 cm (outer frame dimensions approx. 42x50.5 cm). Traces of age, browned; on the reverse: remnants of paper mounting and previous framing in the corners, lighter stains in the upper corners. Mounted with a white paper strip in a passepartout at the upper edge of the sheet, framed behind glass. Inscribed "Aqu. Frauen" in pencil by an unknown hand in the passepartout. Remnants of an old frame card with newspaper clipping from the Benrather Tageblatt, 21. III. 1959 "Neuerwerbungen des Kunstmuseums" on the reverse of the frame.
