Medaille auf die Erneuerung der Universität von Pavia und der Scuola in Mailand, Av.: MARIA THERESIA AUGUSTA, signiert beim Armabschnitt: KRAFFT F., Brustbild Maria Theresias mit Witwenschleier n. r., Rv: Athena überreicht akademisches Zepter. Beide sind von drei Putti, welche die Medizin, Astronomie und Dichtkunst versinnbildlichen umgeben. Im Hintergrund erhebt sich Pegasus vom Parnass in die Lüfte, vz., Verschmutzungen, Patina, Randfehler, teils Berieb des Reliefs, kleine Stellen weißen Belags, minimaler Befall Grünspan, Kratzer, Fingerabdrücke, 45g rau.
Johann Martin Krafft war österreichischer Medailleur und Münzstempelschneider. Ab 1770 arbeitete er in Wien, wurde als k. k. Medailleur nach Mailand berufen und ging danach nach München. Pflegte als Graveur einen klassizistischen Stil.

Johann Martin Krafft was an Austrian medallist and mint engraver.
From 1770 he worked in Vienna, was appointed Imperial and Royal medallist in Milan and then went to Munich. As an engraver, he cultivated a classicist style.
