Die Farbe der Jade ist weißlich hellgrün mit dunklen Schattierungen und grünen Einsprenkseln. Die Vorderseite zeigt im flach reliefierten Dekor eine Landschaft mit knorrigen Kiefern und zerklüfteten Felsen, staffiert mit zwei Figuren und einem Entenpaar.
Auf der Rückseite befindet sich ein chinesisches Gedicht: "Weiße Wolken schwinden, lassen sich am Ende des Weges nicht finden. Das kleine Bächlein fließt in den Frühling hinein, es streifen die Blüten den Boden allein. Der Duft der Felder schwingt sich von weit empor, es öffnet sich zu einem Bergpfad hin das ruhige Tor. Im Schatten spiegelt die Sonne sich in ihrer weißen Schönheit ganz, auf mein Gewand fällt klarer Glanz" (übersetzt und in Reime gesetzt ). Die chinesische Kalligraphie sowie die gravierten Symbole und Inschriften sind mit 24-karätigem Gold vergoldet. Die Kalligraphie zeigt in einer Kartusche außerdem die Signatur des Künstlers "von Li Po" und das Datum sowie die Glückssymbole die für Gesundheit, Wohlstand, Glück und Langlebigkeit stehen. Ein sehr schöner und wichtiger, antiker Jadeitschirm, ehemals aus der Sammlung Henry Hilston in Museumsqualität. Ungefähr 38 cm hoch. Guter Zustand mit diversen natürlichen Wachstumslinien und Unregelmäßigkeiten. Holzständer. | A very fine and important antique Jadite screen. The colour of the jade is whitish light green with dark shades and green speckles. The front shows a landscape with gnarled pine trees and jagged rocks, decorated with two figures and a pair of ducks in flat relief.
On the reverse is a Chinese poem: "White clouds fade, cannot be found at the end of the path. The little stream flows into spring, the blossoms streak the ground alone. The scent of the fields wafts up from afar, the quiet gate opens onto a mountain path. In the shade the sun is reflected in its white beauty, on my robe falls clear splendour" (free translation). The Chinese calligraphy and the engraved symbols and inscriptions are gilded with 24-carat gold. The calligraphy also shows the artist's signature "by Li Po" and the date in a cartouche, as well as the lucky symbols that symbolise health, prosperity, happiness and longevity. A very beautiful and important antique jadeite screen, formerly from the Henry Hilston collection in museum quality. Approximately 38 cm high.
