Das Gesicht mit den leicht geöffneten Augen strahlt meditative Ruhe aus. Die Haare sind akkurat mit einem langen Band zu einer Hochfrisur drapiert und bekrönt mit einem Kopfschmuck in dessen Zentrum ein kleiner Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin) auf einem Lotos stehend dargestellt ist. Die rechte Hand der kleinen Figur ist erhoben in der Geste der Schutzgewährung und des Grußes, H: ca. 46 cm. Mehrere Beschädigungen: 1.) Riß und Reparaturstelle im Bereich der Stirn (ca. 12 cm). 2.) ca. 6 cm lange Ausbruchstelle im Bereich des Halses. 3.) Bei der kleinen Figur fehlt ein Stück des Kopfputzes (abgebrochen). Seit Beginn des 20. Jh. in Familienbesitz, zuletzt seit 1972 in Böblingen.

The hair is accurately draped with a long ribbon into a high coiffure and crowned with a headdress in the centre of which a small Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin) is depicted standing on a lotus. The right hand of the small figure is raised in a gesture of protection and salutation, H: arround 46 cm. Several damages: 1.) Crack and repair spot in the area of the forehead (ca. 12 cm). 2.) Approx. 6 cm long breakout in the area of the neck. 3.) The small figure is missing a piece of the headdress (broken off). Family-owned since the beginning of the 20th century, last in Böblingen since 1972.
